What people usually refer to as our healthcare system, I tend to think of as our disease care system. It seems to have a lot more to do with selling pharmaceuticals, than with improving people's health. Some of the larger health insurance companies are ramping up the push for healthier diets and lifestyles, as they realize this will improve their bottom line. Hmmm, such a day it was today too with the usual roaming. I woke up feeling fit but tired so I had to force of myself to be up. But I couldn't resist the smell from the kitchen, so went straight to get a bit of what was in there.. Low and behold, it was some toasted bread and had to get off to the market to get some stuffs home. So I quickly went to the market after taking a bath. I sent the stuffs by cab and asked someone to take them only to visit some family friends. The rest of the day was spent back home, but managed to secure this points though. Finding a cure for epilepsy is still something we can dream about. At the moment is still incurable. But they have pills. A lot of pills to suppress seizures. But it doesn't always help. Not for all. They are experimenting on you and if this one doesn't help, they will try another one, and so on…They tested a lot of different pills on me but unfortunately, we still didn’t find the right one. In the beginning, my seizures weren’t so common. They were random and always in the morning. But because my pills made me depressed and anxious and nerves, I didn’t want to take them anymore, so my neurologist prescribed me something new. It helped. 3 month and then it started again, so we have increased the dose. And again, 4 months nothing happened. Then I started to take new medicine for my Chron's disease and seizures occurred again. They were longer and more powerful. In the last 3 weeks, I had 4 attacks. Maybe because I was nervous or because these two medicines don’t function together. And I am pissed now. They don’t know if this is the perfect combination because not a lot of people take this two together. I still didn’t meet someone with epilepsy and Morbus Chron and I'm looking for them. Maybe they have some advice on what to do. Entyvio is a new medicine and they are still not sure what side effects it causes. So, why they prescribe that? I'm still not in remission and I'm really really pissed. The only thing that helps for me is…pot… It doesn't cure but it helps to calm, sleep and eat. CBD in the morning and THC at night. Not one seizure occurs at night. Only in the morning and last few months also in the afternoon. But this is still the delicate theme for the public. I convinced my parents because they saw that works for me and my brother, but my grandmother was a problem. She cried and cried and that I'm a junky now, but I gave her one simple example. Alcohol. It's killing people and make them aggressive and destroys families. And hemp? I don't have time and will to get angry and I'm driving my car slower not faster :) I really don't understand why people are so supportive of alcohol, but this, that actually came from nature and it helps to so many people, is so despised. So, I decided to make a presentation for my family why, and how it helps. I'm not sure if it's smart to talk about this in public and till now I didn't mention that THC helps for me, but I don't care anymore because health is more important, and I need to talk about this. Epilepsy is, by some general definition, a condition in which a person has recurrent attacks. The attack is defined as an abnormal and uncontrolled triggering of the nerve cells of the brain, leading to a temporary disorder of motor, sensory or mental functions. However, there is rarely a single cause for epilepsy, but a set of causes or a demolished homeostasis of the body. Hello itinerants all over the world and steem community! Today I had my first actifit activity. By far I seem to be loving it. I have never imagined staying fit and healthy could be this rewarding! I did household chores and went jogging just to reach my first goal which is 5k steps. I hope to go farther as days go by. As I have mentioned in my precious blog I have been feeling under the weather so I am more motivated to stay healthy at all times in order to be productive and thanks to @actifit for incentivizing it.
