Pensar correctamente... Podemos existir. Mientras tanto, seguimos existiendo primero. Es hora de cambiar!!

I've been blessed food wise, I've begun to realise. I've never had any allergies to food, unless you count the usual histamine overload with wine or the asthmatic wheeze that is stimulated by sulphites in dried apricots and the like, but it's never been life threatening. I'm blessed with good gut health, and being raised vegetarian by a health conscious Mum who was also - is also - a great cook, I've also been well aware of what food and food combinations are good for me. Food's never been mysterious for me - I have a healthy relationship with it, and unlike my poor FODMAP intolerant husband, I don't have to exclude anything from my diet. I usually follow the 'eat anything, as long as it's tons of veggies' rule, occasionally eat cheese or ethical meat, and don't eat a lot of carbs. I've never liked a lot of carbs, though I'm prone to a good old pasta or baked potatoes like anyone. I just feel wrong if I don't eat tons of vegetables, or eat too much bread. I listen to my body, and tend not to diet as such. I'm grateful for a garden so I ca grow lots of vegetables to supplement my diet, and eating well is definitely a motivator for growing my own food. Home grown goodness Asparagus with tahini, avocado and coconut yoghurt Saying that, I'm prone to adrenal fatigue, something that medicine doesn't like to diagnose because it appears so non specific - body aches, fatigue, light headedness, and restless sleep. Wired but tired is often the description that suits adrenal fatigue. There's no test for adrenal fatigue, which is why doctors won't diagnosis it, but when I was told that was likely what was wrong with me fifteen years ago, and we treated it accordingly, I felt better. That's good enough for me. According to theory, adrenal fatigue happens when you can't keep up with stress - it's like you are in a constant stage of fight or flight. They say it's a kind of adrenal burn out from over producing cortisol. It often happens after long periods of stress, and whilst fifteen years ago I didn't realise I was stressed, moving country to be with a man I'd just met and being a single mum for four years was enough to do it. I was just so tired all the time, and felt there was something really wrong with me that I couldn't pinpoint. I spent years having an afternoon nap and would be a mess without it. Having the support of a naturopath at the time was such a relief. She look at my irises and said: 'Oh, honey, no wonder you've been so exhausted'. Moong dal with toppings Potatoes with Olives and Rosemary These days I know the warning signs of adrenal fatigue, and pretty much eat a diet that stops me getting to the point I did all those years ago. Sugar is a big no-no, and since I don't have a sweet tooth, it wasn't much of a stretch to cut it out of my diet. That's not to say I don't binge on chocolate once in a while or never eat cake, it's just I don't eat it every day, and if I do eat sugar, I feel the difference - jittery and wired. Lots of liver supporting herbs and foods help too - leafy greens, milk thistle, turmeric, rosemary tea, because I want my liver to sustain me, not my adrenals. If my adrenals are working hard to keep me going through the day, something is definitely going to go wrong, so I need my liver happy and nourished. I'm fine on a coffee or two, but if I'm particularly having a stressful time at work, I won't have coffee and will replace it with a homemade cacao, reishi and ashwagandwa blend that keeps me alert but calm. Alcohol is a bit of a no no, but I still have a drink on the weekends, a few glasses of wine or a beer or two, and that seems to be okay. It's just about listening to my body. One thing I find brilliant is having a handful of nuts in the afternoon, which gets me through the mid arvo slump. Once you start eating with awareness you know that carbs and coffee are the worst thing to get you through. I watch my colleagues on their cycle of coffee-chocolate-coffee and wonder how they function. Samosas in India - always my weakness Hemp seed and bean burgers with coconut yoghurt mint dip. It's fascinating how we are all so different. The food pyramid recommendations of the '80's seems so antiquated now. Our bodies are so unique that a one size fits all diet can't work for everyone. Whilst my British husband seems to thrive off meat and three veg, and could live off potatoes, I'm a plate of veggies girl, salads, stir fries and the like. Finding a balance between the two is tricky, but we manage. He always says he's only alive because of the good food I feed him, so that's something. Really, my approach to healthy eating is simple - eat good food and listen to your body when it says to slow down on the food that isn't doing you good. What's your approach to healthy eating? This is in response to @naturalmedicine's Food Pyramid challenge, which you can find here. I've suffered from anxiety for most of my life, but I never received any treatment until my mid-twenties when I first tried antidepressants. Unsatisfied with the results, I eventually ditched the meds to try a more natural approach. I improved my diet, started exercising, meditating, and did an online cognitive behavioral therapy program. The combination of those things truly helped. I continue the healthy diet, exercise, and meditation to this day. Those natural lifestyle modifications have been the most helpful in combating my anxiety—as has learning about neuroscience and evolutionary psychology, what anxiety is and the reasons why I feel anxiety. It was after all that, when I was thirty years old and living in a state where medical marijuana was legal, that I decided to give it a try. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was surprised to discover it actually helped in my meditation and mindfulness practice. Cannabis makes me more present, more conscious, and more self-reflective to help further remove the anxiety from my life. That doesn’t mean marijuana is an instant cure for anxiety. In fact, many people say weed makes them more anxious and paranoid. Why is there that seeming contradiction? It’s not that cannabis makes you anxious and paranoid—you were already anxious and paranoid. The weed is simply bringing those issues to the front of your mind. Your subconscious mind is telling you that you need to deal with those issues. People who were just looking to party while high and hang out with friends can’t handle that sudden dose of deep introspection, so it turns them off of marijuana. For me, cannabis is not a party drug. It works best alone, for introspection and meditation, and for boosting my creativity. If I started smoking weed in my teens when I was a very anxious person without a mindfulness meditation practice, it very well may have made my anxiety worse. But using it after learning CBT, mindfulness, and meditation, cannabis became an aid to my health and psychological well-being. It actually helped reduce my anxiety further. Because I already addressed my anxiety and mental health, when I use marijuana it’s almost always a pleasant experience. My mind has no demons to bring forth, so the cannabis inspires me with positive creative thoughts. That’s essentially what cannabis does: it makes your mind run wild. So if your mind is full of negative thoughts, marijuana will instigate more negative thoughts resulting in paranoia and anxiety. But if through mental health practices such as CBT, meditation, and mindfulness, you learn to suppress your negative thoughts, then when your mind runs wild on cannabis, it will result in positive creativity. That’s why it’s important to do the self-work of CBT and meditation before trying cannabis. Some people mock the idea of “medical” marijuana, but it actually can be medicinal in myriad ways. One obvious benefit is pain relief, but it can also help your psychological health by combating anxiety and boosting creativity and empathy. But you should not only use cannabis to mitigate anxiety—it is not a miracle drug in that respect. For the best results, cannabis should be used in conjunction with the hard work of mindfulness, meditation, and cognitive behavioral therapy. So if you're one of those people for whom marijuana makes you anxious, the problem may not be the marijuana—it may be you. Do the self-work to fix your mind first, then maybe using marijuana will be a more pleasant experience. Originally posted: https://hive.blog/cannabis/@thythinker/marijuana-and-mindfulness

So before start, i'd love to introduce myself, I am Glory by name, the first daughter and child in the family of four, this is my first time posting here and I hope I am welcomed? So let's begin, I actually went to visit my sister that just gave birth and I saw her baby placed under the sun, she was undressed but wrapped in a wrapper and i was imagining what happened to the child, at first I was scared but later on when I was told what happened to the little baby I had to calm down. I immediately remember how my mother bought a florescent bulb specifically blue colour and place my little sister under it that's since 2003 when she was born, I was told she had Jaundice, so unseeing my little baby cousin placed under the sun I just suspected it will be the same Jaundice. Now as a woman conceives she is advice to treat malaria, but the malaria drugs has to be prescribed by the doctor since by now everything she takes is going directly to the unborn child in her womb. This jaundice will cause yellowing of the eye, some mothers that are unaware of this tends to be so sacred when the notice this but over here in Nigeria, Akwaibom state precisely we have a natural way of treating it and it works for us. Other facts about Jaundice that may interest you.
Newborn babies are often affected by jaundice, which makes their skin and eyes have a yellowish tinge. Jaundice is caused by a build-up of a chemical called bilirubin in the baby’s blood and tissues. Bilirubin is normally processed by the liver, but a newborn's liver takes a few days to process it, so about six out of 10 newborns have some degree of jaundice. The condition is more common among premature babies. This normal process results in what we call ‘physiological jaundice’. Jaundice usually appears on the second or third day. If your baby is full-term and healthy, mild jaundice is nothing to worry about and will resolve by itself within a week or so. However, a premature or sick baby or a baby with very high levels of bilirubin will need close monitoring and medical treatments. Occasionally, underlying blood and liver conditions can also cause jaundice in babies. These conditions include blood group antibodies, haemolytic anaemia, hepatitis and galactosaemia. Some Symptoms of Jaundice The symptoms of jaundice in babies depend on the cause and severity, but may include:
Jaundice can also be caused by a range of other things including:

Nature is an amazing thing! Look at what I grew! I have made it part of my day to step away from my computer to check out the garden boxes that are planted in the back yard. It gives we a break and gets the blood flowing again after sitting and working. Two days ago my boxes were boring and bare with not a plant in sight. Now they are filled with the beginnings of cucumbers and squash. This is the first year for raised boxes to save my back and decrease the amount of weeding needed. I also planted a few asparagus plants that I didn't expect to pop up this year at all. I haven't ever gown my own asparagus so we'll see how this goes. They are pretty small yet but fun to see. The weather has been warmer with nice light rain showers and the plants are loving it and thriving. Now hoping for some warm sunshine for the plants and myself. Vitamin D does us all a bit of good. It's incredible to me what can happen given the right environment- a small seed can turn into an abundant harvest (at least I hope). It will take a little TLC on my part to help them to continue to grow and thrive but the end result it worth it. We also planted watermelon, tomatoes and peas but I didn't get pictures of those today. Hoping to increase our intake of healthy, unprocessed foods this summer. Bonus if we can grow them ourselves. It also wont' hurt the grocery bill. If anyone has and good recipes for cucumbers and squash let me know. I love to try new thing! https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/info/restrictions The link above is to the official policy of the government of British Columbia, Canada. This policy is in force in response to a disease with a survival rate (according to our CDC), IF you get an illness “related” to “Covid”, of over 98% for the most at-risk people (over 80 with preexisting serious health problems i.e. people who are likely to die quite soon from illnesses they already have) and a survival rate of over 99.99% for healthy people under 30. This disease is called an emergency. Since by any conceivable definition this reported disease could not possibly qualify as a public health emergency the use of the Emergency Program Act is unwarranted and would be struck down in any fair and unbiased court in this fair land if any such uncorrupted court could be found. I am very sad to say I do not believe any such court exists in Canada any longer. Our country has been transformed into an insane ward where sane people are under guard and the guards are the ones who have lost their minds. I do not believe the absolute power which has been surrendered by our governments to Public Health Officers will ever be surrendered voluntarily by these so-called Officers. Our UBC administration was promised that restrictions would ease in march this year, then in the coming September and now we are to be released in the coming October. I don’t believe it. We’ll all be confined in the province wide nuthouse until spring of 2022, and then all summer of 2022, and then the fall and then the winter and then… And long before then we all will be permanently mentally damaged, especially the children who have heard hints of a mysterious monster inside every person they see and have seen masks on the faces of adults for a year now. I wish to point out, once again as I have repeatedly during this last full year of “emergency”, that forcing people to undergo any medical procedure against their will is illegal under International covenants signed by the Canadian government and also illegal under our laws and our constitution. If you'd like a better chance of receiving more curation rewards for your dual language content, then you need to read this post.We have many curators from many cultures reading your work, and some even submit your work to OCD, meaning you could get a whale vote for your great content. However, there are a couple of reasons that our curators might not even READ your piece. Many will just scroll by and not even open it. Here's why! ? Very long titles in two languages ? Switching between English and Spanish from paragraph to paragraph ? Only Spanish content. Whilst we'd love to support Spanish content, ultimately, many of our curators *don't speak the language* and find the presentation of dual language posts HARD TO READ. When you read A LOT on HIVE, you are more likely to skip posts that are tricky to read. There are a couple of ways to make your posts be more likely to be read.- English only in title, Spanish in the image, like so: ? Write in columns, English on one side, Spanish on the other. Not sure of the code? Drop into the Natural Medicine discord and ask. Here's a good example of columns. written by @miriannalis.? Write a post in English, then in Spanish OR use an mixture of columns and block text. This post uses English first, then Spanish - so exactly like this post would be good. But here's some examples:Horoscope by @tarot911 ? Use the 'short description' to add the Spanish title. You'll find that in PEAKD, just under your post. In your post preview, readers will see the English title, and the Spanish title underneath. This is much less messy than a really long title in two languages.???

Thank you @bifbeansI got my package of new seeds in the mail today from the awesome guys at @bifbeans, and I was excited to see a bunch of stickers in there as well. I am going to have to order one of their shirts when I put in another order. I ordered their Ghost Toof F2 and Quad Grape. Both of them are autos and I am pretty pumped for these strains. They have been pulling some pretty massive yields from these two strains, so it will be cool to see if I can get close to what they have been getting. For the ghost toof, they said they got over a half pound from it. It is a pretty potent strain from a lot of the reviews I have been reading and is good for pain management and has a strong euphoric feeling that lasts about an hour and a half before the high transitions to a nice relaxing and peaceful high. The Quad Grape that they have created is pulling some crazy numbers. They claim to have harvest 29 ounces during two separate harvests. 29 ounces!?! That is insane! Almost two pounds from a single plant? That is crazy talk. If I get a few ounces, from them, I will be happy. So after a bit more research into the 29 ounces claim, they pulled it from a harvest of 4 plants. That is still extremely impressive and I can't wait to see what I get. So I have started germinating 5 of the Quad Grape seeds. They were awesome and threw in a few extra seeds with each pack, so I even have a couple left over for another grow. I have been having problems with the seeds I was getting from Growers Choice Seeds. None of the seeds I recently got from them have germinated. I also had issues with a lot of the seeds I got from them before, with only a couple germinating. Like my Northern Lights that only had one seed out of five germinate. So I was talking to @jonyoudyer about how he germinates and he said that he soaks them in water for 24-48 hours and then plants them. If they haven't cracked open in two days, he moves them to the paper towel method. I have just been using the paper towel method from the start, but I have heard good results from people using this method that he said. So fingers crossed that it works because I am getting sick of not being able to use all of the seeds that I have been buying, cause at like $10 a seed, it can get expensive to have them not work out. Luckily Bif Beans accepts crypto so I haven't had to use any "real" money to buy them and it has mainly been my earnings here that have funded pretty much all of my growing that I have been doing. Overall, the plants that I have flowering right now are doing awesome. The lady in the front will most likely be ready to move to the dark tent in the next week and the others won't be far behind. Hopefully by then all of the quad grapes have sprouted and will be ready to move into the main tent. I am excited to use my new air pots as well. These should make a big difference in the plants overall health by helping to deliver oxygen to the root system. I also have a few other things I have ordered from Bif that I am looking forward to using. I realized that I may have been using too much nutrients when watering, so I am going to be cutting back on how often I put nutrients into the water. I was giving my plants nutrients about every other watering, and since they have been flowering, I have needed to water them pretty much daily. These ladies are thirsty and drink about 3/4 a liter a day now. I guess that is what I have to put up with living in a desert. But at least the plants are healthy. Anyways, that is enough for this post. Hopefully in a couple days I have some little seedlings to show before I put them in their tiny pots. Then after about a week or so of them sprouting, I will move them into the bigger pots for their final home. I downloaded an app called Grow with Jane and I am going to be hopefully keeping a better track of everything with my future grows, so I will know exactly how old my plants are. One thing I have learned is that it is better to take lots of notes while growing. Originally posted: https://hive.blog/hive-195708/@derangedvisions/got-some-beans
